Rotation, rotation, rotation…..parsva bakasana (side crow) is this week’s Sunday morning yoga challenge. We’ve conquered bakasana (crow pose) so all you have to do now is twist your body enough to fly on your side. The key to this pose is to twist enough to get the upper arms to connect with the outer thigh. This may seem a challenging asana however with the use of props and relevant preparatory postures you’ll be surprised how this shape becomes more accessible. Props can help build body awareness and endurance, but moreover they facilitate sensations in the body and help you understand the more subtle aspects of a posture.
