As we look to a more auspicious future, I thought it would be a good time to draw your attention to my up and coming autumn yoga retreat in the enchanting dwelling of Garth Barns in Mid Wales. This will be a 4 day retreat (3 nights) from 19-22 November 2020, a time to relax, rejuvenate and reassess. Now is the time emerge from months of quarantine and resettle in a different type of sanctuary for a few days.

Give yourself the gift of renewal and self-care before the chaos of the festive season, a chance to develop your practice in a nurturing and reflective way. Whether your wish is to create a tranquil and serene mind or enhance your physical practice, this retreat will immerse you in both.

How the days will be organised
Arrival time on the Thursday is from 4pm onwards. The first yoga session will be at 5.30pm. The weekend will finish around 10.30am on the Sunday after breakfast.
There will be two varied and enriching every day. Mornings will begin with meditation and pranayama (breath work) followed by an uplifting yoga practice to spark your day. In the evenings there will be a relaxing restorative/yin style yoga session with yoga nidra to help you drift into the tranquility of the evening. You can do as many or as few sessions as you like; it is your weekend after all!
Bountiful offerings of delicious and nutritious vegetarian food will be prepared by Sarah Garsfield, a local chef. A sample menu is available if you’d like to see it. She will cater for all dietary needs and be available throughout your stay so if you’re hungry or thirsty and need a fix she’ll be there.

There will be plenty of free time between classes for you to relax in the various hideouts of the barn or explore the breath-taking landscape in which this delightful gem is nestled, take a dip in the wild swimming pool if you’re daring enough in mid-November, or have a sauna (more like it!). There will also be a reflexologist on site for even more pampering!
