Autumn Yoga Retreat – 21-24 November 2024

Indulge a whim this autumn and escape the pre Christmas chaos by grounding and restoring your body, mind and spirit in the enchanting dwelling of Garth Barns in Mid Wales. This will be a 4 day yoga retreat (3 nights) from 21-24 November 2024, a time to relax, rejuvenate and reawaken.

Garth Barns are set in glorious countryside near Llanidloes in mid Wales.  There are two barns, Hafod and Ty Nant.  Hafod has big living and dining spaces where guests from both barns can dine and socialise together.  Former barns, they have been designed for celebrations and retreats

The Barns and Garth Country House, with a further 6 ensuite rooms, are at the heart of Garth Farm with 240 acres of hill, fields, woodland and dingle with a private lake, wildlife pools and spectacular views. Excellent walking country.  Good bird watching.  Owls, woodpeckers, buzzards, nuthatches, woodcock and redstarts are resident and red kites, ducks and swans are regular visitors.

For those of you who are partial to a be of wild swimming there is a beautiful lake if you dare to dip in late November!

There is also a small gym and a real Finnish sauna.

How the days will be organised

Arrival time on the Thursday is from 4pm onwards. The first yoga session will be at 5.30pm. The weekend will finish around 10.30am on the Sunday after breakfast.

There will be two varied and enriching yoga practices every day. Mornings will begin with  an uplifting themed yoga practice to spark your day. In the evenings there will be a relaxing restorative/yin style yoga session with yoga nidra to help you drift into the tranquility of the evening.

You can do as many or as few sessions as you like; it is your weekend after all!  In between your yoga sessions there will plenty of free time for you to relax.

Tamsin from Foot Cwtch will also be around on Saturday if you’d like a reflexology treatment. Booking required.

Garth  Barns is situated in the most beautiful area and there are so many places for you to walk and explore. The colours at this time of year are absolutely stunning so if you’re partial to a bit of photography, indulge!

Bountiful offerings of delicious and nutritious food will be prepared by Rosie Jones, a local chef. There will be three meals a day.  A sample menu is available if you’d like to see it.  She will cater for all dietary needs so please let me know in advance.
