What does Autumn mean to you? How does the gradual shift into shorter days and crisper temperatures make you feel – melancholy or uplifted?
Autumn is my favourite season; it’s magical and enchanting and a welcome invitation to slow down, turn inward and reflect on what has been accomplished over the year, and of course what hasn’t!
The word equinox comes from the Latin for “equal night”. The autumn equinox, like the spring, is a symbol of transition reminding us that the only constant in life is change. At this time in the year the days and nights are of equal length and the sun and moon recover their equilibrium encouraging us to bring balance back into our lives. The earth breathes, like us, with unyielding rhythm so listen deeply and get curious as you immerse into the Vata season. Become quiet and still, relinquish old habits and patterns and plant seeds for change. Don’t resist this natural pull.
In this online workshop we will be focusing on strength and surrender – standing balances, forward folds and hip openers to restore balance in the body, guide your awareness inward and release negative energies allowing space for new enlightened ones. We will finish with a guided mediation to restore and reflect preparing you for the months ahead.
