May Yoga Day Retreat – Sunday 8 May 10.30-4.30pm

In recent years, May has been identified as the mindfulness month, however, traditionally it is the month of merriment and motivation, having been named after the Greek Goddess, Maia, who nurtured the plants and flowers, ensuring they danced their way to full bloom before the arrival of summer. For me, this month brings feelings of hope and aspiration, along with visions of bluebell woods and long, warm, contemplative evenings. It’s not surprising it’s the month I yearn for the most in the year!

Join me on the mat in the beautiful setting of the Wye Valley to celebrate this magical month by exploring the fifth chakra which relates to the element of space, the sense of hearing and sound, the colour blue, creativity, communication and truth.

We will start the day with an uplifting practice exploring heart openers and inversions through invigorating breathwork to promote a sense of exhilaration and aliveness.

After a delicious and nutritious lunch we will surrender into our restorative practice of deep rest accompanied by  the healing sounds of gongs and crystal bowls led by Alex from Temple Sounds.

There will be time at lunch to explore the beautiful village of Brockweir and its surroundings or just sit in the sun and chat.

PARKING
There is a small car park and also road parking. Mckenzie Hall is on a hill. If you could possibly car share, that would be great. We really are in the middle of nowhere so the fewer cars the better!
