Lockdown lie down -Sunday 17 January 7.30-9.15pm

Lockdown lie-down

Lockdown lie-down

With the next few weeks of lockdown being the most crucial and arduous as we strive towards the light at the end of this very long, bleak tunnel, allow yourself some guilt-free restorative indulgence.

Cultivate the skill of conscious relaxation and discovering your true self by journeying effortlessly through a sequence of melting restorative poses, simple pranayama and yoga nidra (guided meditation)

Restorative yoga is a passive and therapeutic form of yoga that provides deep rest for tired bodies, stillness for busy minds and rejuvenation for the entire nervous system. The yoga concentrates on surrendering your weight to supports and softening stretches helping you to relieve negative stress and emotional strain. Sometimes allowing yourself to do nothing is the greatest form of self-care and in this workshop you will be doing just that! Restorative yoga helps you to discover where you are unconsciously holding tension and how to release it.

This workshop begins with some basic pranayama (breathing exercises) followed by releasing and relaxing restorative postures and finishes with a guided meditation.
