MY TEACHING
Yoga is for everyone despite what you might see and read in the media. It’s not about getting into the most difficult shape for that Instagram post, wearing the latest gear or having a lithe flexible body. Nobody would do yoga if those were the prerequisites. You are unique and have a unique body. Nobody else on this planet is you, moves like you or feels what you feel in your body. At the heart of my teaching is the desire to help students connect to what’s animating them. Rather than replicating forms, shapes or postures I’m more interested in helping individuals find connection to their own instinctual and intuitive way of feeling and moving, relating to their own structure, allowing the body to be their guide and make the decisions. In my classes I encourage students to follow the wisdom of the body; it’s our best teacher. I try to inspire students to move with curiosity and instinct rather than follow precise instruction where one pose fits all. My classes are safe, fun, inclusive and creative allowing students to work within their own realms through intuitive movement and self inquiry with everyone’s final destination being one of peace, tranquility and gratitude.
