What is The Intuitive Body?
Since completing my Menopause Yoga teacher training in 2021 I’ve slowly but meticulously been creating this course and it has been slow. Now 54, I’ve been navigating my own menopause journey and scrupulously following all the latest research, just like most of you I’m sure. Frustratingly, it keeps changing as we know. One size doesn’t fit all. Humans are complex and female adult humans are particularly complex!! Doctors and scientists are on the back foot and still learning about this transition which every woman goes through. That’s 51 % of the world’s population!!! Why so long? It’s unfathomable! Anyway, I’m sure that’s a very long complicated story!!
So using yoga to help me, experimenting with different ways of breathing and using my body as it shifts physically, emotionally and psychologically, trying copious amounts of supplements, exploring nutrition and HRT , reading book after book and blog after blog, dumping menopause influencers who happily spread misinformation to get their dopamine likes, and hanging on every word of the experts still at the coal face not seeking fame I’ve finally finished this project. It’s been a journey!!
