Time to drop

Time To Drop

Yoga classes, workshops and retreats for the Vata season (Autumn) W/C 5 September

As we cast ourselves adrift  from the August bank holiday, a weekend that symbolises the reluctantly accepted finale of the summer season, we often feel an unshakable sense of uneasiness or even anxiety as our normal routines and schedules start to loom on the horizon and our summer verve begins to fall away. However, an ending can only be followed by a beginning which in turn sparks feelings of wonder and curiosity and the magical season of autumn evokes this mood within us more than any other. Autumn is a time to drop, to yield and to ground; a time to leave behind the dizzy heights of summer and gently float back down to earth. From there we can shift our gaze towards our inner terrain and start to reflect, re-evaluate and reset echoing nature itself. We are, after all, not separate from it. Yoga helps us to tune into the cycles and rhythms of the earth, giving us the opportunity to understand our own cyclical nature and offering us a personal road map.  Join me on the mat this autumn either for a weekly class, a themed workshop, an indulgent 3 day retreat or the odd park session amongst the leaves.  Learn how to breathe, ground and relax, create stability and strength through the extraordinary inquiry of yoga.
